Learning Objective

Today I am learningabout the immigration system in the U.S. and the current efforts that the U.S. president is doing to try address some of its issues.

I know I understand whenI can explain to my peers and teacher how DAPA and the other president’s executive actions work and I am able to explain the current issues of the U.S. immigration system.

Students will be able towrite about the current immigration problems in the U.S. and read a news article to better understand the issue by analyzing text and making connections to main ideas included in the text.
