Second Prize and Third Prize Winners:
The schools with the second and third highest average numbers of points per student receive Newsela prize packs.
All Participating Schools:
Kevin will be personally responding to students who submit exceptional writing responses to the Write prompt for his op-ed about climate change.

How does the scoring work?
- Students earn points for each quiz taken on Newsela
- Students earn additional points for each correct quiz answer
- Students earn double points for taking a quiz from any of the articles in the Taking on Climate Change Text Set and double points for every correct answer on these quizzes
- Students earn bonus points for submitting an answer to the Write prompt for the op-ed by Kevin Quinn. Kevin will also be personally responding to students with exceptional responses!
How does my school win?
The school with the highest Kevin Quinn Climate Change Reading Challenge score at the end of the challenge wins. The more students that participate and engage on Newsela, the more likely it is that the school will win!
