Updating a faculty member's account information

As an administrator for you school's Newsela account, you can update a faculty member's information such as their name, username, and email address.

Changing a faculty member's name

  1. Hover over your name in the Search and Navigation bar at the top and choose FACULTY.
  2. Use the Search faculty box or scroll down to locate the faculty member's name.
  3. Click Edit icon.
  4. Update the faculty member's name and click SAVE.

Changing a faculty member's username or email

A faculty member's username is their school email address. To change their username, you must change the email address.

  1. Hover over your name in the Search and Navigation bar at the top and choose FACULTY.
  2. Use the Search faculty box or scroll down to locate the faculty member's name.
  3. Click Edit icon.
  4. Update the faculty member's email address and click SAVE.

Changing a faculty member's password

School administrators don't have the ability to change another faculty member's password. Faculty members can recover their own passwords. See Recovering a lost username or password.
