Connections to A Long Walk to Water

Linda Sue Park's short novel, A Long Walk to Water, includes the narrative of two young Sudanese children. Salva Dut, a Lost Boy, narrates the true story of his journey through refugee camps into the creation of his foundation, Water for South Sudan. Nya, a young girl living in contemporary Sudan, reflects on her village's struggle to find water. These lessons bring meaningful connections to contemporary themes of refugees, water, and war and peace. Check out the A Long Walk to Water Text Set.
