Changing a faculty member to Teacher Captain

 Tip: Principals and Teacher Captains have administrator settings that allow them to manage the school's Newsela account, view and update all teacher accounts, and view student information for all teachers. Faculty members who aren't Teacher Captains can only view information for their own classes and students. NOTE: Each school can have up to three Teacher Captains.

  1. Hover over your name on the Search and Navigation bar at the top and choose FACULTY.
  2. Click the Star  icon beside a teacher's name to make them a Teacher Captain.

    NOTE: Faculty with a blue  star are Teacher Captains. Faculty with a white  star can only view information for their own classes and students.
