Students can preview and restore the previous versions of their document history from within the editor.

The Student Experience

When students open assignments, a Version History tab will be available at the top of the page

Students can click into the Version History tab and on default can see the 10 most recent versions of their writing

Clicking 'Load more' will open a display of all previous versions of the writing assignment from the beginning of assignment time (to initial blank screen)

Students will be presented with ba yellow bar stating they are viewing a read-only version, with two options to select from: 'Back to current' or 'Restore this version'

Students who choose 'Restore this Version' will be redirected back to the assignment tab where the restored version will populate, and “Version restored successfully” notification will appear at the top of the page.

The Teacher/Admin Experience

Teacher also have access to a Version History tab

When accessing the tab, teachers will be able to navigate through classes/students via dropdown or arrows

Teachers can view the writing versions from each student

When teachers click into an older version by a student they can view a read-only version. Teachers can not restore a version on behalf of students. Note: at the moment, teachers are also unable to view feedback given for each version
